Life’s keeping me pretty busy. Classes are busy as well. Got a ton of stuff that I need to hand in next week. Figures that everythings needs to be handed in during the one week where I am busy with other, more fun things.
Next week is my birthday and I always celebrate that big. Not to mention that little sis is coming and even my parents will be here. So no time for studying and other boring things. Parties are always good and I look forward to seeing my friends again. Some of them I haven’t seen in a while. But that happens when you graduate. But we stay in touch. So parties = good.
But that’s okay. It will keep me pretty busy this week. One things is done, only three more to go. Two of those are planned for Thursday. At least I won’t be bored.
Have also discovered a new and shiny fandom. Primeval is awesome. Even found the coolest community: primeval_denial. This community rocks! Awesome fics, great people there. Makes me really happy. Especially since my fav character got killed of after only thirteen episodes. Thank God for primeval_denial………
For the rest all is quiet on the Dutch Front. How lame…. I should shut up now. Nah, don’t feel like it. One of my friends just finished her NaNoWriMo project and I cannot wait to start reading it. She gave me the last part today. Yay.
Gotta go now. Still have to read three short texts before my next class starts.

Noticed today that it has been about three weeks since I last posted. No excuses this time. Just real life being a pain. But after today I can relax for about ten days. Yay!
Have to hand in my only exam upcoming Friday. But I wanted to get that take home exam done early so I could spend some more time with little sis and the parents. So I got the last essay of the three done today. Will hand in my essays today. I am pretty proud of the fact that I got it done early. Normally procrastinate is my middle name but not this time *beams happily*
Tonight I have dinner plans with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. We tried to make an appointment during the summer but that did not work. But now finally we agreed on today. It will be good seeing her again. Catching up with friends is always a good way to spend time.
Then tomorrow I will go back home to stay with little sis. I am so happy that she lives on her own now. That way I can come home during the weekend and not spend all my time with my parents. Don’t get my wrong, I love my parents but sometimes they can drive me nuts. When I go home they just want me to spend all my time with them. And that does not always work; I have both homework to do and I have to keep up with my fanfic addiction.
That’s the great thing about being at little sis’ place. She does get it. And besides, she has all the Supernatural DVD’s so that way I can catch up with my latest obsession. Well, let’s not get into that or I’ll spend the rest of my time doodling ‘Dean loves Castiel’ notes in my notebook. And I’d very much like to avoid having to explain that to any of my professors.
Have to stick around on uni because I have a meeting with a professor in two hours. If I stay at uni, I will at least do something useful with my time. And of course updating my lj is very useful. We’ll hopefully discuss my independent study project which will allow me to drop my most hated course.
I’ll have the rest of this week and next week of. Have to bring parent and little sis to Brussels airport since they are going on a short vacation to Naples to visit our friend Linda. Then have to pick them up again on Sunday.
For the rest I am kind of recovered from the whole ‘ what the hell was I thinking doing another masters’ thing. I am glad that I am doing this master. The courses are very interesting and great teachers. One is this British guy and he’s just adorable. Adorable in a puppy kinda way, not in a he’s secretly very cute kinda way. I think he has not been teaching for very long and his current style just makes me want to go ‘aw’ all the time. Not so convenient when you are trying to pay attention. But I’ll live.
For the rest I am actually pretty well. Am currently enjoying the sunshine for as long as it lasts. Autumn has truly arrives here, finally. Pulled out my winter coat and found out that I should buy a new one. This one isn’t that comfortable anymore. But no money so I’ll have to suck it up.
That is my only worry these days; money. But if I read other journals, I am most certainly not the only one with money problems. Whoever said that money does not make you happy certainly needs to be smacked around a lot. Money makes the world go round. Sometimes that statement really depresses me. Sometimes I wish I would win the lottery but then I remember that I don’t participate in any lotteries so that won’t happen.
Enough whining about money. Nagging about it won’t add anything to my bank account. I wish *sighs*
But moments when I feel a bit down, I am reminded of why I love live journal. I don’t know many of my lj friends very well, but I love reading everything people on my f-list post. Sometimes it really reminds me of how lucky I am, other times it really makes me laugh, stories about kids and that sort of thing, and everyday things can make me smile. I love my f-list. Yeah, that’s enough mush from me.
I guess that now I have said pretty much all I wanted to say. Am actually pretty happy right now. So I’ll go and enjoy it while it lasts. I’ll go to my meeting, go home, go read some more of my new and shiny OTP (well, not that new anymore but who cares), and have dinner tonight.

Two posts in one day. Wow, is this a sign of the apocalypse??? Nah, just me in need of a rant.
Mainly about the following:
What the f***ing hell was I thinking when I decided I wanted to get another Masters? Really, I am so busy it is not even funny. I though that taking a lot of courses last year would prepare me but boy was I wrong. I had totally forgotten just how hard a Master year is. At least two times a week I think I am drowning in work. I constantly wonder what the hell I was thinking.
Also my mom had surgery which went fine and my dad was being an ass afterwards so that I have been avoiding even calling him on his birthday. I am also worried about Ruth who still hasn't send me an email back. I should mail her *makes note on mental checklist*
Also my social life is far too busy but I cannot seem to stop agreeing to meet with friends. Normally it would be fine but I don't have so much time right now.
I feel a bit overwhelmed at the moment. And even thinking about writing another thesis makes me want to scream and run.
*sighs* I am such a whiny. Well, knowing me, give me a week and things will be better. This week is just busy. Next week should be better. Maybe I shouldn't have spent my weekend in front of the TV in stead of doing homework. The boys are soo distracting.
On to better news. My supernatural obsession has returned after watching s4, That is not entirely unexpected. Also have a new obsession in the form of the wonderful tv show 'Life on Mars'
A friend lent it to me and I loved it. Took me some time before I got over the whole the Master is here things *runs around screaming* but after I got over that I totally though John Simm rocks. Now I have also become a seventies music fan.
Anyways, gotta go. Have classes in ten. Hope y'all are fine.

Oh boys *flails*
Just saw Supernatural season 4 this weekend. My sis, my best friend and I had a huge marathon. As in we watched the entire season in two days which was totally awesome.
There are no words for it. I loved it. It was epic. It made me laugh, made me scream at the TV, it made me want to hug Dean, slap Sam and many more things. I will not go into much detail about the episodes or else this post will never end.
There is one more things that made me flail. Dan and Castiel are my new OTP. I think they are so awesome together. *sighs* They give me warm and fuzzy feelings. They totally belong together. Dean is awesome in this season and Castiel makes me squeel. Together they make me one very happy fangirl.
Well, I'll leave it at that. Season 4 rocks. What does suck is the long wait since I don't download episodes. Maybe I should reconsider.... But then little sis would kill me big time.

I really have come to the conclusion that time flies regardless if you are having fun or not. Summer is over and classes have started again. Right now I am taking four very interesting courses but they will keep me very busy. This is the start of my second Master year. I am also thinking about my next thesis but so far I only have a few ideas. I am also considering writing one of my larger projects for one course on fanfiction.
The last weeks of summer were great. I did not do very much. Saw a few movies, G.I. Joe, Inglorious Bastards which I found a bit disappointing but still entertaining. Came back to Nijmegen on august 28 with little sis. She spent some time with me before leaving again.
By then I had found out that my laptop nearly killed itself. My laptop has finally given out after six years of service. Now I have a new one. It’s black, very shiny and very fast. I am not used to a fast computer anymore. My best friend installed my internet last time so I thought I’d celebrate by posting on my lj. I need to do that more often.
I have been out of touch for some time because I have been feeling out of touch for a while. A sort of strange detachment with life in general. I still have money problems, but nowadays, who hasn’t. But hopefully by the end of next month that should be taken care of.
For the rest, I feel distinctly odd. I am glad that I started university again but I was not looking forward to all the work that would entail. Am glad to see my friends again though. Haven’t been sleeping that well for the past few days which makes me cranky.
Jeez, this has turned into a whiny piece. Sorry about that. Have found a new shiny TV obsession though. Dutch TV started broadcasting “Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles” and I absolutely loved it. But the last episodes of season one are on this Thursday already *pouts* and after that probably no more SCC on my TV.
Also saw the pilot for “Fringe.” Tow of my best friends have been raving about that show for months so when it came on Dutch TV, I figured what the hell. So I saw it last Sunday but I don’t know what to think about it just yet. So far it’s weird. But that is not necessarily a bad thing.
Other good news is that Supernatural season 4 is finally on its way. It should be here within the next two weeks. Then I can finally watch it!!! So excited. I cannot wait. Oh boys…. It’s about time you got here….
Anyways, have class in thirty minutes so I’ll have to end this. Will try and post more often.

Two more weeks before the summer vacation is over. And here I am wondering where the hell time went....
Time has flown by and that kinda sucks. Oh well, as I always say, suck it up and take it like a girl.
Just a complaint. Had a nice relaxing weekend. Went for ice cream on Saturday, and yesterday I did pretty much nothing. Very nice. Hope you all had a good weekend.

I have not slept very well tonight. The episodes of the past five days has haunted me. I am angry, upset, even devastated about what they did to our show.
In the words of my dear friend Ruth: The end is where we start from!! Fuck you RTD!
I could not have said it better myself. After much deliberation I have decided that from now on my Torchwood has only two seasons. I am going to repress and forget all about CoE.
I don't know what RTD was thinking but I am so disappointed with him.
These five episodes have upset me more than I could have ever imagined. Yesterday I came to the conclusion that I wished I had never watched CoE. Then I would have been a lot better of.
And RTd can now write a book about how to fuck up a great tv show.
CoE, I am done with you! To me you are dead. Torchwood ends with 2.13, no more.
That is it. I am too upset/angry/devastated to say anymore about this.
Ps: And I really do hope that Supernatural season 4 will be everything that Torchwood season 3 was not or else I will scream and kill myself.

Wanted to share something that made me really happy today. I was watching sci-fi channel today and they showed an commercial for their Wednesday evening programs which are Doctor Who and Torchwood.
They showed clips of both series but the emphasis was one these two words:

This made the slasher in me squeel happily. So awesome. That was such an awesome preview....

See even Sci-fi implies that Jack and the Doctor should be together. They belong together.
